February 2023

It’s been five months since Hurricane Ian and our community is working hard at rebuilding our small beach town. Here at Eco Marine we are experiencing a high volume of phone calls related to hurricane damage. We do have a list that is growing daily. We will get to you as quickly as we can. We appreciate your patience as we currently have all crews working out in the field.

September 28, 2022, SW Florida was hit by Hurricane Ian. Lee county suffered a Category 4 storm surge of historic size. So many lost their homes, belongs and some even lost their lives.

Western Charlotte County and Boca Grande was hit with Category 5 hurricane strength winds. Winds measured at Eldred’s Marine were 176 mph sustained with gusts to 208 mph. Again, historic damage. ECO Marine Solutions office was without power for a short time but without phones and internet for weeks but thanks to cellphones, we were able to take calls for salvage and recovery. Unfortunately there is very few structures of any kind that will stand up to the winds we had.

We continue to try to get to everyone that has called or stopped in. Please be patient as we have all the crews doing the best they can. We are Florida Strong!!
